Elmer Epp graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (English) in 1969 and Bachelor of Law in 1980, both from the University of British Columbia. He completed his articles at the successor firm to Taylor Epp & Dolder and was called to the Bar in 1981.
Elmer practiced at Taylor Epp & Dolder for 30 years until the firm merged with Cates Carroll Watt to form Epp Cates Oien in 2011.
He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of BC and is a Director and Chair of the Board for Interior Savings Credit Union.

Elmer is an avid golfer, gardener and fisherman when he finds time to pursue these activities.
